Donna Rostant
Donna Rostant is an attorney with in depth experience in medically complex cases, including birth injuries, with many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements to her credit. She received her law degree from Wake Forest University, where she was elected president of the Law and Medicine Society. Her 25+ years of legal expertise is complemented by her 12 years as a nurse practitioner in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and care of the neonate; she earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and served as a professor of nursing in colleges and universities. Her teaching and medical experience allows her to deconstruct complex medical issues and present them as concepts easily understood by a jury.
Donna is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Bar Association, and was appointed to the prestigious Boyd-Graves Conference; she will serve as Conference Chair beginning in 2019. Since 2008, Donna has been selected by her peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America and has been honored with the distinction of SuperLawyer since 2015. She was named as one of the “Influential Women of Virginia,” is the author of many legal articles, co-edited Liability Issues in Perinatal Nursing and speaks at legal and medical conferences across the country. She is also a triathlete and runner and has completed many marathons, ultra-marathons, and two Ironman triathlons. Donna brings her compassion, energy and perseverance to her legal practice as she zealously represents her clients.
